Wearing Twins in 2 “New Native” slings

Wow…carrying twins is actually possible with baby slings.
I would recommend really practicing before going out and walking around like this.
I would also be very observant to make sure they always had clear airways.
This would probably not be recommended with infants due to their inability to lift their head and neck enough to receive appropriate air pathways.

Now here is he video explaining how to remove the twins onece they are in the slings.

Use extra caution with Infants and baby carriers

Be cautious when carrying babies younger than 4 months of age in a sling and make sure that your infant’s face is visible at all times when using baby slings and carriers.

They don’t have head and neck muscles to raise their head if they need more air , so it is very important that you position them correctly and are always diligent in keeping an eye on how they are doing inside of the sling.

The above video demonstrates the proper way to carry your newborn safely.

Ring Slings offer the privacy needed for breast feeding!

The great thing about a ring sling is the extra fabric (“tail”) that can double as a cover up when breast feeding

“Kate, owner of A Child’s Garden in Northampton, MA, shows us how to breastfeed from the tummy to tummy or hip carry in a Sakura Bloom ring sling. Kate uses a weighted demo doll to demonstrate.”

Cautions for newborn babies in baby slings

There can always be risks to any baby carrier and there has been recent news regarding the dangers of baby slings. If you own a well made baby sling and know how to properly use it, then you and baby should be fine. BUT that is where “knowing how to properly use it” comes in. Please see the above video to get IMPORTANT advice when using a baby sling for a newborn.

Baby Can now see the world in their baby Sling just for them!

It makes sense to me when studies report that babies held in slings are more outgoing and develop a stronger vocabulary earlier than other babies. Why you say? Because they are up close and personal with you and the world. They are experiencing this brand new place in the safety of your arms, so they are more recpetive to leaning and listening because their first basic need of feeling safe and secure is met. They now have a chance to explore your world view in the “See the World Position”

“Hugamonkey” Ridiculously Easy Baby Sling video

This is why we love baby slings! Sooooo easy to use and creates that closeness a baby and a mother (or caregiver) should have. They don’t have any clips or buckles that can break and create a smooth, comfy and safe ride for baby. Or in the case of this video…….your “monkey” :)
